Before starting his investment office, he co-founded KW-Commerce with Jens Wasel and scaled the company to one of the leading global private label sellers on online marketplace with over 450 employees and 8 million customers per year. KW-Commerce was built without any external equity investors and sold in 2021.
He has been managing his own investment portfolio on the side since 2012 and now pursues his investment passion with full commitment.

Investment Philosophy
Our investment philosophy is deeply rooted in Max Kronberg’s many years of experience as a managing owner. We think and invest as long-term owners in great companies, run by great people and intend to hold them for a very long time. We look globally off the beaten path and get interested when these companies are temporarely unloved or overlooked by the market and aim for a concentrated portfolio of 10-15 companies.
We are looking for companies with these characteristics:
- Great businesses: we invest in companies with an enduring and widening moat, attractive returns on capital and free cashflow as well as the ability to deploy additional capital at an attractive rate of return.
- Run by great people: we are looking for owner oriented management with capital allocation focused on long-term wealth creation.
- At attractive price: below intrinsic value with a margin of safety.
What else:
- We don't use leverage
- We don't short
- We invest bottom-up only and don’t invest based on macro forecasts
- We disregard ESG, DEI and other similar scores or initiatives in our investment decisions
